Background location service:

to see this function touch the check in function on the home tab (tab1) and enter in “demo” for the registration key.
-background location reporting is a primary app feature that helps users (defendants) to easily notify their Bail Agent about their current location.
If user explicitly activates this function ( a unique id is sent via text) then location is collected continuously even in the background.This is viewed by the app users Bail Agent in a back end (officer of the Court) significant location change reporting will not work for this since sometimes the user does not have a significant change in location.
- the app uses background location service to report current user's location to the server backend (controlled by user's Bail Agent)
- background location monitoring is only activated when the user enters Registration Code which he received from his Bail Agent via SMS (so users are always instructed by their Bail Agent about this feature before they activate it)
- background location monitoring can be disabled via the "Unregister device" option on the Check-in screen (so users can always opt out and prevent location monitoring/ battery drain)
User is prompted via apple iOS messages that background location services are being used and can disable this function at any time

The background location reporting:
If a user explicitly accepts and allows background location reporting called check in/Share Location feature on the home tab then location is continuously shared with the app users bail agent. This allows app user to conform with the location guidelines set forth by the courts. App user can deactivate this feature at anytime and all other functions/features of the app are still usable.
